From 2002 to 2003, prior to moving to Ridgedale, Saskatchewan, they briefly operated a small sawmilling operation in Star City, Saskatchewan, under the company name of Star City Forest Products. But due to various restrictions and difficulties, they were soon compelled to find another location to set up their mill. They were led to Ridgedale, Saskatchewan, and were granted to set up their operation and residence in the former Ridgedale school. They created the company, Sonship Resources Ltd., to share ownership of Star City Forest Products with a company out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, called Saint-Boniface Pallet Ltd. Under this arrangement, they only operated SCFP until 2005.

After shutting down the pallet-wood mill, for a short time, they continued assembling pallets for a number of local customers. In the summer of 2005, they had a large auction where the assets of Star City Forest Products were sold. Sonship Resources Ltd. decided to purchase a few items from that auction. In October of that same year, Robert suffered a major setback by being crushed by a piece of machinery and was hospitalized for several months and afterwards remained in recuperation at home until 2008.

But, as devine intervention would have it, on January 1st 2007, while in recuperation, Robert began dictating his book, "Confronting The Cloudiness". With the help of his two sons, Aimé and Eugene, they committed it to computer and translated to it to french. In September of that year, both "Confronting The Cloudiness" and its frech translation, "Affronter Le Brouillard", were published on the web and in hard-copy form using a laser printer.

In the summer of 2008, they were asked to do a small renovation job by a local neighbour. This was the first outside work for Robert since the accident and a wonderful sign of recuperation. It was difficult for him initially, but he gradually regained his strength and agility. Today, he has regained virtually all of his former ability even at the ripe young age of 77.

If you wish, you can read a former article found in the Logging and Sawmilling Journal magazine, issued in June of 2004.
